Assyria God's Plunderers
Isaiah 10:5-6
5 "Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger And the staff in whose hand is My indignation.
6 I will send him against an ungodly nation, And against the people of My wrath I will give him charge, To seize the spoil, to take the prey, And to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
• God raised up the Assyrians as an invincible army who would defeat the strong
Northern Kingdom of Israel and bring down their strong walls.
• Assyria was raised up by God to be plunderers who had one of the mightiest and
most strategic military forces ever.
• Military strategists today study the tactics of the Assyrians and admire their
skill more than Alexander the Great and the Roman legions.
• Only God could defeat this army (Isaiah 37:36).
