"biblos"
The word "Bible" comes from the Greek word "biblos" which means"a little
book", and it comes from the word given to the inner pulp of the papyrus reed that
ancient books were written on. Here are two Scriptures in the New Testament
that use this word "biblos":
Matt 1:1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son
of Abraham:
Lk 4:17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had
opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
