Attalia (Antalya) A coastal Greek city of Pamphylia in the south part of Asia Minor. When the Roman provinces of Asia and Cilicia were formed, Attalia remained autonomous. The area was infested with Pirates and there are many stories.

Attalia  (Aτταλεία). A city on the coast of Pamphylia, founded by Attalus II. Philadelphus, and subdued by the Romans under P. Servilius Isauricus.  - Harpers Dictionary of Classical Antiquities. New York. Harper and Brothers.

Attalia  A city of Lydia, originally named Agroeira or Alloeira. (Steph. s. v. Aττάλεια.) There is a place called Adala on the river Hermus, but Hamilton (Researches, &c. vol. i. p. 143) found no ancient remains there.  - Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography, William Smith, LLD, Ed.
