Phoenicia was:
A region. The coastal territory from Mt. Carmel, or from Acco, north for nearly 200 miles to Nahr el-Kebir (River Eleutherus). The area was inhabited by the Phoenicians, whose chief cities were Tyre and Sidon. (Phoenix, plur. Phoenices, in Gk. means 'purple')
Obadiah 1:20 -
And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel [shall possess] that of
the Canaanites, [even] unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which
[is] in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.
