Luke 24:27 - And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
The New Testament - A Brief Overview
| Jesus' View of the Old Testament Jesus confirmed actual people, places, events, and doctrines mentioned in the Old Testament. He actually confirmed the whole Old Testament Scriptures in one statement when he said: Luke 11:49-51 - Therefore also the wisdom of God said, 'I will send to them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will kill and persecute, that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary.' Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation. Abel being the first martyr of the first book of the Jewish version of the Old Testament and Zechariah being the last martyr of the last book of the Jewish Old Testament. Therefore Jesus confirmed everything in-between. |
