Almond
Almond in Hebrew means "the awakening one", because the almond tree was the
first tree to awake from the sleep of winter and blossom. It spoke of the speedy
and powerful result of light.
Gen 43:11 And their father Israel said to them, "If it must be so, then do
this: Take some of the best fruits of the land in your vessels and carry down a
present for the man-- a little balm and a little honey, spices and myrrh, pistachio nuts and almonds.
Eccl 12:5 Also they are afraid of height, and of terrors in the way; when the
almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper is a burden, and desire fails. For man
goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets.

what do you see?" And I said, "I see a branch of an almond tree." Then the LORD
