The Bible wasn't originally divided into chapters and verses as we Know it
today. In fact, they were first introduced by Stephen Langton, Archbishop of
Canterbury, around 1201 AD. The first Bible to be published which was divided into
chapters and verses was the Geneva Bible of 1560. But nevertheless we have to
remember that chapters and verses were not inspired, though they are helpful,
they can mislead us if they come right in the middle of a subject being dealt with.
